Confectionery Development Industrial Company (Katakit) is a manufacturer of consumer packaged food and beverages products, which has been in business now for thirteen years. What was once a business targeting solely the local community has grown into a business that has far broader regional appeal.
In its thirteenth year of operation, Katakit has a very good reputation, excellent people, an increasing position in the local and export market and opportunities to reach out into even more countries. Starting with a few outlets offering our products, we now reach over 60,000 outlets and a huge distribution network.
Katakit sells a variety of confectionery products ranging from coated wafer products to biscuits, to Powder Soft Drinks. Originally geared toward the local community, and then d ...eveloped to become a regional player by expanding to include a much larger geographical export area, in addition to a very broad consumer response.
Currently, Katakit has 28 products and further yet to come. In year 1991, we started by producing coated-wafer fingers under the brand name Katakit that today we owe our company name to. Our existing product portfolio which is renowned for its uniqueness and quality ingredients covers the following segments:
- Filled wafer.
- Chocolate Coated wafer.
- Plain biscuits.
- Sandwich & coated biscuits.
- Chocolate bars.
- Powder soft drinks.
In addition to new under development segments.
By the year 2001, Katakit has become the leading confectionery manufacturing company in Syria.
On a regional level, Katakit has started its country development operations concentrating mainly on Arab markets and gradually expanding on an international level.
In 2005, Katakit has entered the Juice Market by acquisition one of the most developed Juice plant at y, Katakit became the Market leader of Juice in the Syrian Market and looking for new Arab Markets.
Katakit Juice plant produce a wide range of packages and flavors: Glass bottle 250ml, Glass bottle 750ml, Cans 240ml, Floats Juice 250ml, PET 1.5L Juice.
